We want every senior who participates in the life of our congregation to experience life-giving connections that bless them with more of God and with friends to enjoy. In addition to connecting during Sunday morning classes, our seniors also enjoy time together in these settings:
Helping Hands Meal
Enjoy a hearty meal with others the third Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. Many seniors enjoy a break from eating alone by attending and/or serving at this free monthly dinner.
Senior Bible study and prayer
Most Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m.
Call the church office at 717 653-5660 for more information.
Women of all ages gather to knot comforters (blankets made by knotting several layers of fabric together) that are sent to suffering people around the world by Mennonite Central Committee (MCC). They also make beautiful quilts that are sold at the Pennsylvania Relief Sale each April to raise money for the work of MCC.
MJMC seniors connect with each other over lunch after Sunday morning worship several times a year, an annual Christmas party, and occasional trips and other social events.
